Students will create a PowerPoint Presentation on the history of California spanning from the first exploration in the 1500s to current day. Students use a number of resources including their text, iSeek, online encyclopedias, etc... to gather the dates of key events that helped shape California. Students write a brief summary of each event explaining why it was important to our state's history. Students gather photos and graphics to add to their presentation. They present the presentations to the class and proudly display these slide shows at Open House. See links below for the student directions and grading rubric.

c. evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to specific tasks.
