At the moment Desiree Spang and I are at the TRLD 2008 conference in a very rainy San Francisco.  This conference focuses on how technology is used to assist struggling students.  One of the big topics here is RTI which is on all our minds.

There have been some very interesting and helpful sessions with lots of ideas.  Then again,  as at all conferences, there are some presentations that can definitely use a little more focus. Desiree and I presented on her Spang Gang, but I'll leave it to her to post and tell you how it went.  My new tech innovation that I am learning about is Voice Thread.  More on that later.

K-12 technology leaders from around the globe gathered this year in San Francisco for the CoSN 12th Annual K-12 School Networking Conference, which has been a resounding success. The K-12 Open Technologies Initiative, for which I am a panelist, was well represented this year, with a variety of sessions focusing on open technologies in the K-12 environment.

For those who attended (or wish they could have attended) my session on Thursday entitled Open Source Implementation in K-12: Case Study of Saugus, CA the presentation and supporting documents are listed below.

Thanks to everyone involved for all your hard work - it really paid off this year!

HI all,
I'm here at the CUE (computer using educators) conference and can't tell you everything that is here.  This morning I took part in a hands on iLife Bootcamp for iMovie and iDVD and spent a large part of the afternoon perusing the exhibit hall.  Lots to see and lots to do.
Tomorrow will be full of one hour lectures and hands on events.  I'm keeping my eye out for information on technology integration ideas that I can bring back to Saugus.
More to come tomorrow.
